A Box Story

Not so long ago, when my human’s Mom sent me my favorite food for my purrthday, it was packed – you guessed it! – in a box. The box is from the French post office and it can be folded and unfolded.

Of course, it is not enough that the usual suspects would play with MY tunnel… some Mademoiselle has to get MY box too!

I was peacefully napping in my box when…

Who’s this? Is this Kitshka?

Yes, it is Kitshka…

Kitshka: Hiya Texas! Can I come play in your box?
Texas: No!

Kitshka: purrlease…
Texas: Seriously, no!

Kitshka: Come on…
Texas: Get out or I’ll bunny kick you out!

Kitshka: But we can both fit in it!
Texas: Out! Out!

Out out out!

Kitshka: Texas is being mean to me, sniff…
Texas: Awww… well, okay, let’s share the box…

Kitshka: Hooray!!
Texas: I think I’m gonna have to find me another box…

Kitshka: Don’t take so much room, Texas!
Texas: Yep, I need another box…

The day they killed the boxes

The humans have flattened our boxes! They say it doesn’t look good in their living room. Oh the humanity!

Fortunately, until the garbage humans come pick them up, there is still a chance that I can save them!

Yep, these are OUR boxes!

If I can only manage to take them out of behind the couch…

The humans attached them together. They killed the boxes!

Mademoiselle Kitshka’s Birthday, Boxing Day, and Thanks!

Today, Mademoiselle Kitshka is 6 month old! Happy birthday, Kitshka!
Now that you’re almost not a kitten anymore, could you stop playing with my tail? What? No. Pfft. Okay.

Since today is Boxing Day, we didn’t want to miss it! We LOVE boxes! And that is part of the wonderfulness of Christmas: boxes left behind!
I know on this day we are supposed to give our humans a gift, but aren’t we, kitties, a year-long gift, really?

My castle on top of the mountain

I had already prepared my post when I read this post at the Conscious Cat. The post was about humans building cat walls for their kitties. I thought that was very nice of them. Sometimes we kitties build our own stuff too!

I made myself a brand new castle and I love it! What do you think about it?

A tiny bit about Sandy and my new box

First things first: sorry for another period without posts on my blog or without me visiting your bloggies. My human cannot go to work tomorrow because of the hurricane (she’s not pleased – she’s doing her back of disrespect to the weather) so I’ll be able to spend some time with her to work on my blog and read your lovely posts.

That is, if Hurricane Sandy isn’t cutting off our Internet connection and/or our electricity. Sandy is arriving on our shores tomorrow (winds tonight). Trains, subways and busses have been shut down, schools in NYC will be closed tomorrow and part of NYC is being evacuated.

I could not care less. But the humans seem to be taking this seriously. So just so you know, if you don’t hear from us in the next few days, that may be because of Sandy and not my human.

Also, if we don’t have a blackout, we might schedule post that would go online after a blackout (thanks to WordPress scheduling option). So if posts go online but you don’t see us on your bloggie or answering comments, a blackout may have happened after we scheduled a couple of posts. Are you following me?

STAY SAFE everyone on the East Coast (especially)!

In the meantime, here is my new box. My human says it is too small for me, but I don’t see why. Do you?
