Humans have delicious stuff to eat (ham, yogurt, shrimps, Philadelphia cream cheese) and also very strange habits (fruits, citrus, chocolate… and no mouse?!).
They have an interesting toy though that they call recipe books. My human has one especially for cooking cat treats. It is called “You Bake ‘Em Cat Treats”.
It comes with cookie cutters and gift bags.
Let me share with you one of the recipes I liked. Cats: do what you have to do so that your human bake some for you. Humans: Be kind to your favorite pets, bake some now ;-)
Kitty Biscotti
Ingredients:
12 oz chicken liver
1 1/2 cups soy flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Puree liver in food processor until smooth. Place liver, flour and oil in mixing bowl and mix until it achieves a smooth, brownie batter-like consistency.
- Spoon the dough onto cookie sheet and smooth with spatula until it forms a large patty approximately 1/2 inch thick. (Don’t worry about spreading to the edges of the baking sheet or pan, just aim for the correct thickness.)
- Put cookie sheet in oven and bake for about 20 minutes. Lower oven to 300 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes or so.
- Cool. Cut into cat-size biscotti bites with a knife or pizza cutter.
- Serve.
Enjoy!
Wow! You are lucky! Your human loves you very much!!!
Ooooo… chicken liver cookies! This sounds SO good! I’m gonna have to get my mommy to bake some for me! Poultry is my favorite flavor for everything, no matter if its chicken, duck, or turkey!
